What Expectations?

Certain expectations, such as salary, hours, and job duties are usually understood by both employer and employee.

Other expectations
, however, are so taken for granted in an individual's own concept of work that they often go unspoken.   For example, the unspoken expectation that management will notice a job well done, and offer words of appreciation.
